Chartered in 2010 by the American Model Yachting Association (AMYA) as Club 311, the RCMSC serves the Pacific Northwest from a base in the greater Portland, Oregon area. Our membership includes model sailors from both Oregon (Eugene, Portland, Beaverton, Tualatin and Gresham) and Washington (Vancouver and Battleground). And we are growing. We build and sail the German designed 21″ Micro Magic; the T37, a classic 37″ wooden model racing yacht; the one design 25.8″ Dragon Force 65; and occasionally the 12″ FOOTY, an international developmental class of model yachts.
Because our membership includes both working and retired folks, our Sailing Schedule emphasizes weekend sails; but casual, impromptu weekday sails are not unusual. We share our building and sailing skills on build nights and at the pond, and more experienced members are happy to mentor those new to r/c model yacht sailing. More information and additional club photos are available at Rose City Model Sailing Club (RCMSC) on Facebook. Our latest Club Newsletter can be found here.

While not required for membership in the RCMSC, we encourage our members to also join the American Model Yachting Association (AMYA), a particularly valuable resource for new r/c model sailors.
