Sherrill has agreed to continue as Vice comm and will still handle the bouys, he has done an outstanding job putting extra events on the calendar
this past season. Knute has agreed to pick up the Sec,Treas. position and has already put the schedule together for this next year – thanks Knute. I am asking Terry Goodell in this email if he would continue the scoring for the racing he has done an excellent job since he assumed that duty from Stan. I am also asking Peter Loop if he will continue the website duties that he has done such an excellent job on for the last several years.
Also the most sincere Thanks for Stan Mckays long term service to the club as a past Commodore then secretary/Treas, for as long as I can remember. He has really carried the weight of the bulk of work for the club. Now Stan can relax a bit and just enjoy sailing.
Next Item is for input for the meeting agenda. Please respond to this post with any items that you would like to have placed on the agenda.
Roger May has had some health reversals and will no longer be sailing with us. He has bestowed upon me his large collection of rc sailing supplies boats tools and kits. This will be your best opportunity to purchase a zipp kit springer style tug boat that has come along in quite a while. One complete built boat will need batteries, one kit 1/3 built needs completed, one complete kit includes batteries and servos just needs built, another kit complete needs batts and radio also a df 65 with A+ rig two df pond side stands clamshell type one slightly built one in box. plus much more. Give me(Gary) a call 503 936 3320 let me know what you are looking for and I will try to find it. df 95 sails from Rod Carr some lipo batt packs. I still haven’t found the bottom of the boxs.
Last item I will not be continuing as commodore this next year someone else needs a turn I don’t want to hog all the glory.
Happy newyear see you all at the meeting Jan 17th at the round table pizza in Lake Oswego
