Join us at Tualatin Commons tomorrow (8/26), 1:30 PM, for Micro Magic Race Day.

 

Some of you know that I’ve been building a R/C motorized tug boat for use in rescue operations when control of one of our sailboats is lost mid-pond for whatever reason. I’m close to completion – I’ll be working on it today – and may have it ready for the water tomorrow. I’ll let you all know tomorrow AM whether it’s a go or not.

Join us for Footy Race Day at Westmoreland tomorrow (8/12) at 1:30 PM. In our recent outings, Micro Magics have far outnumbered Footys on the water. Come on, Footy skippers, show your interest. I’m sure there will be some Micro Magics on the water too, so feel free to bring yours (or any other boat you wish to sail).

We’re having an unscheduled sail at Tualatin Commons at 1:30 PM this Sunday (7/29). Join us if you would like. I know that there will be Micro Magics there, but bring any boat you like.

Join us at Westmoreland tomorrow, 7/22, 1:30 PM for a Micro Magic Race Day. I hear tell there’s a new Micro Magic in town and I’m looking forward to seeing the boat and meeting the builder/skipper. Let’s see how many MM’s we can get on the water – but join us with whatever boat you want to bring.

Please join us at Tualatin Commons tomorrow (Thursday, 7/19) at 4 PM for a late afternoon into early evening fun sail. Footys, Micro Magics and all other boat classes are welcome.

Hey Footy skippers! Join us for a Footy Race Day tomorrow, Sunday July 8, 1:30 PM at Tualatin Commons. Of late, it seems momentum at RCMSC has been shifting from Footys to Micro Magics. Nothing wrong with that – I love seeing our MM fleet growing and the enthusiasm of the MM skippers. We started as a Footy club and we continue to support the class. Bring your Footys and let’s get a bunch of them on the water tomorrow.

We had 5 Micro Magics on the water today. Major kick. Thanks to all the skippers for a great day.

We decided to add a twist to our 2012 Sailing Scheduled by including weekday 4 PM events in June and July. Initially these were scheduled for Wednesdays, but some appointments would get in the way of that. I have revised the Schedule to move these to Thursdays. The first late afternoon sail (for Footys and Micro Magics) will be this Thursday, June 21, 4 PM at Westmoreland. Please join us.

Though the winds were a bit squirrelly, I think it is safe to say that a good time was had by all today at Tualatin Commons. We had four (count ’em, 4) Micro Magics on the water all day! I’d love to see more, but 4 was a big kick!
