RCMSC ANNOUNCEMENT
Skippers, your Club Officers and Fleet Captains met this past Wednesday to discuss our upcoming sailing season. Several topics were discussed like a different racing schedule, frostbite series, class series races, racing rules and race day committee duties. Our Opening Day 2016 fun sail/tune-up and our 2016 Annual Meeting was also discussed. Specific dates for the above activities will be finalized by the end of next week and you all will be notified.
One activity, the Frostbite Series will begin this Sunday the 17th of January at 1:30 and will consist of four races at Tualatin Commons. Sorry for the late announcement. The series dates are 1/17, 1/31, 2/14 and 2/28. Our Opening Day tune-up Fun Sail is scheduled for Sunday the 13th of March. We will meet at 1:30 and sail until 4:00 followed by our annual meeting at 5:00 at Hayden’s Lakefront Grill. Please make sure you set aside the 13th of March for our Annual Meeting. We need all members in attendance to elect new officers for the coming year. If anyone is interested in serving your club please give me a call and we can talk about what that would involve.
Our sailing schedule and other announcements should be available the week of January 18, 2016.
I’m sorry for the short notice but things on the home front have a bit busy. One other note our weather forecast for this Sunday is calling for rain, like we haven’t had enough already, if that holds true I will post an email to all members by 10:30 canceling the event.
